About reBuild Workshop
Founded by architect Themis Haralabides and based in Gowanus, Brooklyn, reBuild is a design-build studio dedicated to creating enduring, high-performance homes that reflect how people live today.
Uniting architecture, interiors, and construction within one integrated process, we specialize in transformative townhouse renovations and additions across New York City.
Each project combines refined design, technical precision, and a focus on health, sustainability, and long-term resilience, resulting in homes that are contextually grounded, beautifully crafted, and built to last.
Since our founding, we’ve completed more than 50 private residences across New York City—from Park Slope and Cobble Hill to the Upper West Side—often within landmarked districts. In every project, we collaborate closely with our clients to craft homes that are contextually respectful, architecturally coherent, technically refined, and built to last.
Over the past decade, our team has developed recognized expertise in Passive House design and construction, successfully completing numerous high-performance residential projects.
Today, we’re regarded as one of the leaders in Passive House building in New York City. This experience enables us to bring advanced energy-efficiency and building-science strategies to the unique challenges of updating the city’s historic homes, creating spaces that seamlessly combine heritage and high performance.
